Thank you for visiting LeHay’s Shaker Boxes. Everything listed on this website is handcrafted by me, Robert LeHay, in my Embden, Maine workshop. I aim to make the purchasing process as smooth as possible. Below you’ll find information about purchasing, shipping, returns, and more. If anything’s unclear, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Ordering and availability
I release new work in small batches a few times a year. Everything is listed for sale only once it’s finished and ready to ship — I don’t take pre-orders or requests. Once a piece sells, there are no more until the next batch is completed.

To hear about upcoming releases, I recommend signing up for my newsletter or following me on Instagram or Facebook. The newsletter announces each release the day before, with the exact date and time.

I always welcome your input. If there’s something you’re hoping to see, feel free to reach out — notes like that help shape what I make next.

Payment
All payments are due prior to shipment. I accept major credit cards, PayPal, and other secure payment options offered through the website.

Order cancellation
If you need to cancel an order, please email me at robert@lehays.com as soon as possible. Orders can be cancelled and fully refunded any time before they ship.

• Once a shipping label has been created, the order is considered shipped and can no longer be cancelled.
• If your order has already shipped, you may still return the item (see Returns below).
• For unusually large or group orders, I’ll contact you to confirm details and set mutually agreeable terms.

Returns and exchanges
I want you to be happy with your purchase. If something isn’t right, I’m happy to accept a return or work out an exchange.

• Returns must be initiated within 7 days of delivery
• Items must be returned in the same condition in which they were received
• Shipping costs are not refundable unless the item was damaged in transit

Please hold onto your return shipping receipt. I can’t be responsible for packages lost in transit.

Damaged items
If an item arrives damaged:

• Keep all packaging and do not discard anything
• If present at delivery, ask the carrier to note any visible damage
• Contact me at robert@lehays.com or (207) 672-6143 I’ll provide a return label and issue a full refund once the item is received.

Shipping

Shipping is free within the United States. I currently do not ship internationally.

• Most packages are shipped via USPS Ground Advantage; larger items may ship via UPS Ground
• Orders typically ship within 3 business days of payment
• Tracking information will be sent automatically once the item ships

If you're traveling or won’t be home to receive your package, just leave a note at checkout or email me—I'm happy to hold your order until you return.

Important: Packages may be left at your door and do not require a signature unless requested. If you're concerned about package theft, please contact me before shipment and I’ll add signature confirmation at no cost.

Sales tax
Any applicable taxes will be added during checkout based on your shipping address.
