Oval boxes are able to be “stacked” one on top of the other – and then “nested” inside one another during storage! 

There are almost limitless size and color options in creating a stack of boxes - so I've only included a handful of possibilities here.  If you would like to create your own stack (picking the sizes and colors of each) please pick each item individually by Clicking Here.    Also please feel free to contact me to discuss various possibilities.

Box sizes available include the following:

  • Size #0 : 3 ¾” Long by 2 ¼” wide by 1 ¼” tall
  • Size #1 : 5” Long by 3” wide by 1 ¾” tall
  • Size #2 : 6” Long by 4” wide by 2 ¼” tall
  • Size #3 : 7 ½” Long by 5” wide by 2 ¾” tall
  • Size #4 : 8 ¾” Long by 6” wide by 3 ¼” tall
  • Size #5 : 10” Long by 7” wide by 4” tall
  • Size #6 : 11 ½” Long by 8 ¼” wide by 4 ½” tall
  • Size #7 : 13” Long by 9 ¼” wide by 5 ¼” tall

The sides of the boxes are constructed from maple and the top and bottom boards from quarter-sawn pine. Each swallowtail joint is individually hand-cut with a knife. Copper tacks secure both the bands and the top and bottom boards.

The copper tacks are darkened to provide an aged appearance.  Per tradition the bottom of painted pieces are left unpainted, and are then dyed and oiled to provide an appearance of age.
