Fall in the Workshop – New Shaker Boxes Available October 15th
Fall has arrived here in Maine—the air’s getting cooler, the leaves have turned, and the days in the workshop have started to feel a little shorter. Over the past three months or so, I’ve been busy building, painting, and finishing a large batch of Shaker-style boxes, carriers, and trays, many of which will be listed on my website this Wednesday, October 15th at 12:00 noon EST.
This batch originally included around 350 pieces in total. After fulfilling several customer requests and preparing an order for an upcoming stitchers retreat, I now have about 100 pieces to list on the website. There’s a nice selection of trays, along with numerous boxes and carriers in both painted and natural finishes.
I’ve also made several sets of trays (sizes #3 through #5) that I think folks will enjoy. They make great gifts—easy to divide up into individual presents (and maybe keep one for yourself) or to keep together as a set.

Getting Ready for the Holidays
This October release will likely be the largest selection before the holidays. I’m planning a smaller December batch, which should include a few small painted box stacks (sizes #3–#5) and a handful of paper-lined pieces.
If you’ve been thinking about a gift or something special for your sewing room or display shelf, this will be a good time to take a look! It’s also a great opportunity to get a little early holiday shopping done before things get busy in December.

Looking Ahead to the New Year
Looking a bit further ahead, I recently came across several large quantities of pre-1900s newspapers, which I’ll be using for a batch of paper-lined boxes and trays after the first of the year. If all goes as planned, that collection should be ready sometime around March, and I’ll share updates once the work gets underway.
As always, each of these paper-lined pieces will feature authentic antique papers—many with unique headlines, advertisements, and illustrations from their original publications.
Everything will go live on my website this Wednesday, October 15th at 12:00 noon EST.
Thank you for continuing to follow my work and for your ongoing support—it truly means a lot.
