Set of Three Oval Trays, Sizes #3 through #5 **Discounted** (Pumpkin, Yellow, Sea Green)

Please Note: This set of three trays is being offered at a reduced price because the size #4 yellow tray has a slight finish issue on one side. The imperfection is minor and not visible from the front. The other two trays have no issues. All pieces are fully finished and structurally sound. This set of three Shaker-inspired oval stitchers trays, offered in a variety of finishes, provides versatile organization for any workspace. In a craft room, they neatly hold sewing notions, thread, and small tools. In an office, they keep pens, clips, and other supplies close at hand. Each tray is handcrafted using traditional Shaker methods and designed for everyday use and display.

This set includes one each of the following:

• Size #3 oval tray in a pumpkin milk paint finish – 7″ long × 5″ wide × 1¼″ tall

• Size #4 oval tray in a yellow milk paint finish – 8″ long × 6″ wide × 1¼″ tall

• Size #5 oval tray in a sea green milk paint finish – 10″ long × 7″ wide × 1½″ tall

Construction

Materials: Sides are made from locally sourced maple or birch; bottoms are quartersawn pine. All lumber is milled at our shop in Embden, Maine.
Hand-Cut Joints: Each swallowtail joint is individually cut by Robert LeHay, making every tray unique.
Fasteners: Bands and bottoms are secured with copper tacks made on original 19th-century machines.
Finish Options: Available in a range of milk-paint and natural finishes. Painted pieces receive two coats of high-quality tung oil; natural finishes receive five coats. The oil finish enhances protection and deepens the patina over time.
Aged Appearance: Copper tacks are darkened for a vintage look. The bottoms of painted trays are left unpainted, then dyed and oiled for a traditional aged patina.
