Wooden bobbins were used in the textile mills of the early to mid 1900’s. More specifically, weaving mills. These bobbins were used on automated looms to produce yards and yards of fabrics. The mills had wooden bobbins made especially for their machinery which is why we see such a variety of vintage bobbins! This set of 2 appears to be very early, there is no metal on them and they have a very nice dark patina that only comes with age! They measure 8” long and 1.25” across the bottoms.
