This pin cushion, hat pin cushion was likely made by the Iroquois Native Americans in the late Victorian era around 1890-1900. These were made to sell to tourists at various attractions. There are a few missing beads here and there, there is one area on the top where the material has frayed and worn through. There was originally purple velvet on the top, it has faded and become worn with time and use. The backing is polished chintz. There are a few dark spots on the back but no holes or tears. When you look closely you can see how incredibly ornate the bead work is, this must have taken such time and patience!
