Children’s Enamelware Dishes, Germany, Bavaria, Depression Era

Measures:  Cup – 2” deep, 3” across top, Saucer – 5” across, Dinner plate – 8” across

The cup and saucer are both made in Germany, the dinner plate is marked Bavaria.  All are white with a blue edge.  Dutch scenes are depicted on all three items.  Parts of the scenes are embossed and stand out in relief – a great tactile feature!  My research leads me to believe these are from around the 1930’s.  There is a chipping around the edges of all three pieces, the pictures on the saucer have faded a bit but can still be seen.   These dishes have been loved and show signs of much use and many dinners!
