1929 Lucretia Vanderbilt Blue Enamel Powder Box with Original Insert

Measures:  2.25” tall, 4” wide, 3” deep

The Lucretia Vanderbilt line of cosmetics appeared on the eve of the Wall Street crash and the Great Depression so it’s no surprise that the life of the line was as short lived as a real life butterfly.  This dresser top powder box is in good condition, there are just a few chips to the enamel, the feet are in place, the lid latch and hinge work well.  The original cardboard insert is in the box, the puff holder is attached to the inside of the lid and reads “Lucretia Vanderbilt New York”.  The puff has gone missing over the years but the scent is still quite noticeable and not unpleasant 😊.
