The pinkeep is crocheted with flannel inside, it is in very good condition. The thimble is aluminum, it is not out of round and has no punctures, it is an advertisement for Singer Sewing Machines. The fireplace log pin cushion is likely the oldest of the lot, I would estimate the early 1900’s. The log rotates on the base. The cushion is in place, it was originally a glowing orange velvet. This has become worn and faded with time, as would be expected. The base does have some bends around the very bottom but it doesn’t affect the stability of the piece. I have never seen a pin cushion like this one!
