A very nice size carrier to hold jewelry, loose change, keepsakes along with a multitude of other uses. Great for organizing kitchen and sewing supplies!
This carrier is constructed from maple bands, with a quarter-sawn pine top and bottom and an ash handle. Each swallowtail joint is individually hand-cut with a knife. Copper tacks secure both the band and bottom board.
On painted and antiqued pieces the tacks are darkened to provide an aged appearance. Per tradition the bottom of painted pieces are left unpainted, and are then dyed and oiled to provide an appearance of age.
